Prime Time Sports with Bob McCown: Thursday, January 7th, 2010 (4:00-7:00)

Host: Bob McCown
Co-Host: Stephen Brunt
Guests: Jim Kelley, columnist for Sportsnet.ca, Former head coach of the Toronto Raptors, Butch Carter; Nicholas Routhier, president and CEO of Sensio, ESPN play-by-play announcer, Dan Shulman; Bill Plaschke from the Los Angeles Times; Tim Keown, writer from ESPN The Magazine

Kelley was on fire today, and it was great to hear him back. Razor sharp and hopefully he's in continued good health. It felt like old times.

Butch Carter is one of McCown's favorites. Many one liners and a great sense of humor. The fact that he lives near Tiger Woods provided for a few awesome lines.

3D TV?? BRING IT!!! I'm sooooo in!

  1. Hmm. I got kinda bored with all the 3DTV talk this week.

I think the media (which I am a part of) spent a lot of time hyping its arrival, leaving the impression that 3DTV is going to be available overnight. In reality, there are still well-known TV channels in Canada that aren't broadcasting in HD--and it's been around for 10 years!

Nothing against you and your opinion, but I just can't get too excited about something that's 5+ years away from starting to become mainstream.

  2. 3DTV is real, and it's finally here. I don't think it's 5 years away, and definitely explains why LCD TVs were so cheap this boxing day.

I can't wait to try it!
